Remedial Massage

Remedial massage focuses on the release of chronic or acute pain in the body through targeted pressure on tight and sore muscles, by massaging over the muscle fibres, tendons and fascia. This technique is most commonly used to address specific problems associated with chronic muscular pain, injury rehabilitation, sporting and occupational injuries, RSI, and physical and mental fatigue. Various treatments such as trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, joint mobilisations, and myofascial release can be merged in a Remedial Massage session. Stretch and exercise prescriptions may be given at the end of a session to help strengthen weaker muscles.
